The VW order tracker just moved to stage 3 for me this week. Can anyone give me an idea of the time it will now take to get built shipped and delivered? My original order says April. Never been given a specific build week at all.
Probably build week 11. Is your dealer Scottish?I'd take a guess at last week in March/first week in April.

Vertu Volkswagen Nottingham.I'd take a guess at last week in March/first week in April.
So assuming build week 11 then I've been told 5 weeks to delivery would be accurate. Week 16 / end of April.

I beleive I am bw 14 though and so believe the car will arrive in late April / early May...? The titles they use in the tracker are rather annoying when the process is so elongated.

Hi Gazza, why do you think you are bw14? Yes the whole process seems very longGilesyGee said:

No but I expect a top model to be able to do things a car that cost less than my 2 years golf lease can do!
it costs less because its st.they then bung some updated software on a headunit in true 'rolling a turd in glitter' and there you are, comparing it to the flagship golf.
It'd be like having a nymphomaniac supermodel as your wife and complaining to your friends that 'she doesn't do the dishes like the 19stone ex did'
who cares about the stereo. Get some tunes on an SD card and go drive the thing
Hi Guys and Girls
Hoping you can help me out with some finance on the new Golf R.
Today after waiting 5 weeks for a test drive in the MK7 Golf R, it was finally my time! Dealer opened at 10.30am - I was there at 10am! Doh!
Anyway this left me plenty of time to examine the white Golf R standing on the forecourt, looking subtle but incredibly purposeful with all 4 of its exhausts protruding from the rear. Myself and the dealer took the car out for an extended test drive and I was sold from the moment the accelerator was pushed into the floor. I was every car sales persons dream customer - at this point I would do anything for this car!
We got back to the dealer ship and started looking at spec lists and numbers. The sales person took me through all the options and I ticked the ones that in an ideal world I would have. The dealer advised that whilst they get me a trade in value for my car (circa £10k, hopefully more with a part ex for a new car - £10k is fair market price at the moment)I should go through the options in more details at home to get the right specification. After hours of playing around with colours and seat choices I finally got a figure of £34,780. The dealer then told me to use the finance calculator on the VW website. This gave me the following;
Deposit - £10k
Length of contract - 48 months ( I am in this for the long haul and this does not bother me)
Monthly Payments - £361 / month
Is this expensive in comparison to what others have got. I will be contacting the dealer early this week and hopefully there should be some movement on that price. I have never purchased a car on finance before and I really don't want to get scammed. Scammed maybe is not the right word, but I don't want them taking the mickey! The car would be for personal use NOT business.
Any help or advise would be much appreciated. Apologies for the long post!
Cheers

Zermattbusby - if you dont mind me asking, where did you get this deal? Best Ive been able to find recently is Gateway2Lease who are offering £1698 up front, then £283pm with £180 cost, so totals at £8,391. This deal you have seems to be about £7,138 over 2 years and its the DSG model! I want!!! How many miles is this?5 Door - Red - DSG
