Has anyone leased a golf R on a personal lease?

Sorry, that was a bit vague.

I haven't read all of the pages but assumed that most of these deals were 'business leases'.

The reason I ask is that I spoke to an online leasing company the other day about a car that was advertised as a 'personal contract hire', however after speaking to them, I was told that even though it was advertised as a personal contact lease, I had to meet certain criteria, of which 2 of them are below.
1) I had to be a high level executive or lawyer etc
2) Be able to prove that I could claim mileage through work.

I explained that I wanted as a personal lease not through work but she said that was the deal on that car.

Silly question but is it possible to get a lease car that has nothing to do with work?

This is the same type of contract. Do all personal leases specify the same criteria?

It depends entirely on the funder.

I'd guess the funder is VWFS on that deal and it is Business Contract Hire with you declared as a sole trader.

Where's the best place to get it on a personal contract hire rather than business?

Can I ask what BW you were? I was BW9, car at Emden on 4 March and still on stage 5! I contacted the dealer yesterday to be told there is a huge backlog on this side of the channel meaning nothing is being sent over mad

Craig, I think I ended up as BW11, although I can check when I speak to the salesman over the coming few days... was originally told BW15 though, so it's happened a fair bit sooner than I originally expected. Not sure why some cars would leapfrog others in the queue which were built earlier though?!

Volkswagen. The PCH is a personal contract hire.

I'm in the same boat (or not) as you - was built in week 9 and has sat in Emden sincemad

Dealer said VW are prioritising newer built cars so not to clog the port up even more. I guess it's easier to load the new cars straight onto the ship instead of shuffling them around the port.
