Hi, managed to get my build confirmed for this week but tracker hasn't moved to step 4 yet.As its Friday I would have thought it would started the build. From peoples experiencs do you think its not going to be built yet??

I found the tracker could be a bit slow to update, so I shouldn't worry too much. Just check again next week would be my advice.

Getting extremely excited.

Any one else received the message?

Any ideas to when i could expect delivery?

I received mine today after 6.5months wait and am so pleased with it! Absolutely love it... First day so averaged 17mpg today but loved every bit of it... Hang in there...

Me and my 2 brothers ordered together - One car was delivered to the dealer today, one is built but in Europe still (these 2 were in the same build week) and the third isn't even built yet... it's a bit of a lottery!

Well mine is bw15 (ie this week) and the tracker hasn't updated and all I can get from Vwcs is call centre bull st and can't be sure the build has started or not.

I don't think I got notified until well into the following week - so if your build week has just passed then you'll probably get an update towards the end of next week.

Hey guys, been lurking for a while! I recently handed back a mk7 GTD and was interested in some of the current R deals. Now that the new reg dust has settled, does anyone have an idea on current lead times if ordering now?

Things have seemed to move very quickly towards the end of the tracker for me, this Stage 7 email arrived this morning. So all things going well, I'll be collecting my R on Thursday.

Had my stage 5 yesterday.... Lap of the gods now for delivery, I'm hoping end of April

Found out from VW that the lead time is now 8 months.

You need to ask the dealer(s) as it all depends on their allocations. You might find one with 4 month delivery time or another with 8 months !

For those also going through CUVL what's all this st about it being mandatory to neither send your original passport or driving license/counterpart via snail mail to VW directly so that they can complete the finance directly with them? That or turn up in person with original copies to be photocopied at a WV dealership in Telford?

I've never before encountered such craziness with a lease... that's kind of the whole point, and CUVL have already completed finance checks before ordering the car.

I'm flying out to the US in a few weeks so there's not a chance im sending them either my passport or driving license in the post, and there's also not a chance im taking a day off work to travel up to Telford and show them in person when copies have always sufficed before.

^ Seems to be common these days with a lot of things unfortunately. I recently instructed a solicitor for a house purchase and they wouldn't do anything until they'd seen physical copies, and I got the same with a new job this year too.
