Called Windrush this morning to check on my order and it's looking like BW 19...early June delivery. Given this was only placed last month with LPG that's looking like a result. Hopefully confirm the build date next week so anyone who has got an order with Windrush should check, you might be getting the car a lot earlier than the original late July/August estimate!

That would be superb news. Just read on VW's tracker site that DSGs take longer as the boxes are in such high demand - so manual cars might come a bit quicker. Which would be nice. For me. tongue out

Hi All,

This is a great thread. Been looking at getting an m135i but have been impressed with the Golf and seen some of the prices - wow. I am looking at going for the deal on Gateway2Lease.

24 Month Contract
6+23 Payment Profile
Initial Payment = £1457.94 (Excl. VAT)
10,000 miles per annum
Standard car at £291.59 per month

I want to add a few extras though. Is this pretty much the best price about at the moment?

Thanks

Welcome!

That looks a good price to me - the best deals were around a month or two ago, but G2L prices still seem good. Have you tried Lease Plan Go? They seem to be the only other 'players' in this marketplace. What options were you thinking of? Metallic paint and basic nav are relatively cheap to add, the rest you pay a fair chunk for.

Leaseplans prices have gone up by around 30% so G2L would be the best now.

I now have my VW order number and estimated arrival is 3rd week July for my 5dr DSG - thats a lead time of 15 weeks which is bang on what Leaseplan told me.

I'm liking the VW Order tracker - gives you something tangible to actually look at! Fair enough, there's not a huge amount of info on there, but it's better than having to pester the salesman all the time. SMS & email alerts as it moves through the order stage are a nice touch. Mine is 'with the factory and scheduled for production' thumbup

I've just been quoted £314 inc VAT with a £1800 deposit on a 3dr lapiz blue dsg with Vienna leather and heated seats
From where and what mileage? Seems a good price.

Excellent news, congrats. Hopefully Windrush can pull something out of the bag with mine too!

Guys, It seems that Gateway still have some quotes they can use until tomorrow, then the prices go up. Had a chat with Chris Moy from Leaseplan, who was very helpful, suggested that those last few deals were the best and to grab them while you can..I just need to decide on the colour..

Does anyone have a price to buy the car at the end of the 24 month contract?
Sorry to repost. Wondering if anyone had an answer?

I managed to get the paperwork in on this just before 5pm. Have I done the right thing?? It's a bit of an impulse order. I hope 10K is enough miles. I use just over 8K going to work and back! I guess at this monthly figure even if there is some excess charges it is still a great deal.

A few other lease companies I spoke with said that the above cant be possible and think I am going to get a email saying the offer was a mistake. We shall see!

Lease plan Go said market value, it's not really something that was particularly interesting to them which is fair enough, it's their car and they can sell it for the best price available.

Hi fellow pistonheaders.

Great thread and finally took the plunge myself.

L Blue, DSG, 5dr, Full Maint, 10k pa - 6+23 £312.99 pm.

  • * They have a Lapis Blue R in the VW garage at Tamworth - it looks feckin amazing ***
Our current lease doesnt go back until September but G2L have advised they can delay the delivery until then as can take 5 months anyway.

Long wait but ticked all the family car boxes plus a weapon for my weekend trips to wales and the peak district etc.

Can't wait

I got exactly that spec, maintenance and mileage quoted at £285 inc VAT per month, with £1676 down back in early March, so it's definitely possible, and you're only paying a bit more than that even though the deals 'ended' in late March.

Good luck restricting it to 2000 fun miles a year... I allowed for 7000 miles a year outside of commuting mileage drivingdrivingdriving

If it was gateway2lease they said the same thing to me today. They said it was the 3dr and they only had a few deals left but there were still plenty of 5 doors
They still have a good number from the sounds of things! :-)

Sad to hear the Dynaudio pack isn't available though. 4 x20W on the standard sound system isn't goof to cut it, I think!! Wonder if this can be added by the dealership instead...

I got exactly the same spec and terms last week for £287 a month. It's definitely possible as i've had my order confirmed with Warrington VW this week.
