I have to agree with you guys with this problem. I too have issues with my stop start on my A4 of which Audi can not replicate. I have given them a print out of this forum and a video of what I can only desribe as the car going into a fit. I use the car every day with 2/3 motorway journeys per week. It has happened 7 times now of which I had 3 in one afternoon! The car shudders, gear stick can go all over the place and sounds like the engine is not firing up, however the rev counter is at a constant 900rpm on the video (luckily I was down a side street when I took it). The car has been back 4 times in 6 months: -

1. Diagnostics check - nothing
2. Audi had car and changed dual mass flywheel and clutch
3. Diagnostics check - again nothing
4. Audi had car again of which Audi have stated the mileage on the video matched a regeneration of the DPF????? Audi run tests during the first week and I agreed that Audi could have the car for a second week to try and replicate the problem, a further 500+ miles and it could not be done.

I am at the point where Trading Standards are involved, I have put in writing that I want a replacement car, I spoken to the managers at the dealership (of which they are not fulfilling what they have said to me), spoken to Audi UK (of which they are genuinely helping me get some kind of dialogue started with the dealership), and now the car has done it again for the seventh time!!!!

Services department states a problem but it can not be resolved via warranty, one manager (ex mechanic I might add) states the video won't hold up in court, couldnt hear anything and the other manager could hear it but still played down the video.

I now wish I had put in the letter that I want my money back, I wish I never walked into the dealership. This car was a treat for myself and now the love has gone by the dealerships incompetence.

My question to you guys, did Audi sort you out?

You. Have made a terrible mistake now listen to Audi , there is not a problem it's the way you drive .

And in any case I am the only person in the World to have reported this non issue

All. I know is they all told me, UK and stealers that any attempt at rejection would be strongly resisted and frankly I have given up , won't ever be seen in VAG group car again and to be honest they are not that good and very near the bottom of all reliability surveys . I know at least 5 people who changed their minds and went elsewhere as a result of my experience
