Audi a6 ultra black edition

we've had a 177 Black avant for 3 weeks now. its a great do everything car, although the boot smaller than expected. the 10mm extra drop of the sport suspension on the S-line is worth it, and the ride isn't too bad.
options we had heated seats, rear blinds, tow bar, pano roof.
roof is nice, heated seats a must and the tow bar clever.
the standard satnav and Bose is good, with music from all sources SD/SD2 or Iphone, Bluetooth streaming etc very easy to use.
engine is fine for plodding around, but is all low down, i think it would work well with a ZF 8spd, but couldn't bring my self to spec an elastic band CVT!
And in contrast...we've had an 2.0 SE 177 Auto for six months. Softer suspension suits us. Haven't missed heated seats this winter. CVT is super smooth (no elastic bands in it these days). 40mpg on average so far. options we had heated seats, rear blinds, tow bar, pano roof.

Agree on Sat Nav but standard sounds and dab are also good.
Pano roof is the last thing I'd spec but I wish I'd gone for a tow bar.
How was the size of the boot unexpected? Did you not look at one before ordering?
The ultra looks like a good update. Gearbox probably better and a few more HP with better efficiency has got to be good

Have to say that I'm baffled by the love for heated seats. I've always thought it was a gimmick. We had a rental car in Iceland with them in the middle of winter and I still turned them off as they just felt odd.
I guess that's the beauty of optional extras!
I'm in Colorado. My S4 is the first car I've ever owned with them, and now I'd never be without. In the depth of winter they warm up faster than the heating system. The only thing I want now is a heated steering wheel - even a couple of minutes filling the car at -20c means you wont feel your hands for the next quarter of an hour.I guess that's the beauty of optional extras!
Heated seats are also meant to be excellent for backache.

Went to collect our new A6 Ultra on Sunday but spotted a large scuff on the rear bumper during hand over. So car left at the dealers while they source another car.
Oh no, must have been really frustrating. I'm having nightmares about this as due to pick mine up next weekend. Can't believe these things don't get picked up during pdi to avoid a wasted journey. V12 Migaloo said:
Still haven't seen or read a road test on the Ultra.... and mine arrives in 4 weeks... was it foolish of me to order a car that I haven't yet driven??
I collect mine on Monday so will try and get some pics and first impressions up asap. Hoping that the gearbox works well with the 2.0 as it's the one question I had. Fingers crossed though! Guys, impressions on the Ultra engine? I went for the stock SE, as I will probably be faster over speed bumps and pot holes in a straight line then what ever time is lost round the bends, and its the first car in 18 years that I've ordered with a hole in the roof (A4 cab not included..) Post some pics too, my build slot is end of this month, really looking forward to receiving it now..
Only done 100 miles since I collected it on Monday, but really impressed all round. The ride is remarkably good for 20" wheels with 35 profile tires too. Feels very well damped.
Engine feels strong and pretty willing given the lack of mileage. Wouldn't call it pokey, but it's smooth and responsive and the gearbox feels very well matched. It will change up pretty quickly if you leave it in drive but the sports mode feels more like a standard set up.
I'm really pleased with it and as a family wagon it's absolutely spot on. Would still love to have had a 3.0 but just couldn't stretch to it and I'm not feeling hard done by which is good news.
Still need to take some decent pics!

Anyone doing a business lease through their company?

That is a pretty good deal I'd say. Guess it depends whether you want/need any additional options and what impact this has. I saw this deal, as I will be looking at a business lease, seemed good, but not shopped to hard yet
