Audi a6 ultra black edition
Discussion
Brilliant black will also save you £700, to put towards Quattro
The paint is very glassy and inky, giving good reflections. There isn't any metallic flex, just glossy black. The finish is much better than BMWs, no orange peel.
The car has only been washed once in 7000 miles, but even now through the speed streaks on the bonnet I can see a good reflection of the sky.

Thinking of ordering one of these in the next week or 2, any opinions on Moonlight blue?
Yep the other half is interested in moonlight blue too but not seen in the flesh. Don't think it would go with the titanium rotor wheels so would need to change to the optional silver.d4v34 said:

Just taken delivery of my A6 Avant Ultra Black Edition in Glacier white. Looks lovely.
Get some pics up! Would love to see the avant in white. Quick update on mine - loving the car for 90% of the time. Just the odd occasion when I crave a bit more power.

Order placed through a broker, delivery expected November, spec'd a load of toys on it and had to wait until July 1st to place order, as Audi withdrew the deposit contribution for a couple of weeks.

Anyone who ordered one from when this was last about must be close to getting their cars now?
Mine is coming this week, just wondered how people had found them? And if you're disappointed, please don't tell me !
No complaints from me. Although my wife doesn't like to passenger around town, finds the 20" wheels and suspension too hard.Mine is coming this week, just wondered how people had found them? And if you're disappointed, please don't tell me !

Have managed to achieve 46mpg over 6k miles now, and I don't really hang about, its a very comfortable quiet car and that suits me fine at this stage in life rather then razor sharp handling. One slight, and it is a slight disappointment is in comfort mode the gearbox needs a fraction longer then you expect to change cogs when called upon, not that it is problem in sport mode though. Really chuffed with the Pan Roof and the boot space in the Avant. Mine is coming this week, just wondered how people had found them? And if you're disappointed, please don't tell me !
Thanks guys. Subsequently since posting that mine has arrived.
It's really quite a nice thing indeed. The controller for the media works the wrong way round coming from a bmw, and agree about the gearbox in comfort. I've used the paddles a fair bit to help make sure it behaves as I want it too. Very quiet and I've no complaints on the ride on 20s but I'm coming from a mSport on run flats!
Kids love it though, and moonlight looks the absolute dogs danglies, especially in black edition spec. Still would have preferred an option for a lighter interior colour, but the lighting pack helps make it a bit less gloomy.

7468 miles and the AdBlue light is on! What a pain in the ar$€ to fill, subsequently cut a hole in the top of the bottle and it filled easily. Just a few points on Eco, achieved 690 miles last week on one tank, but my wife achieved 760 odd miles the week before averaging over 56 MPG!!! And the car was fully loaded. Still chuffed even though its now been updated...
