I am in the process of getting a new car. Just returned an SLK I had on PCP. Need a dog friendly motor ideally an estate.

My heart says S4 Avant (or maybe a C63)....

But my head is saying cheap lease on a C class diesel...

Main issue on the S4 is the level of finance that Audi will offer.... It is terrible, almost to the point of being insulting. Is this standard from Audi? Do people actually use it? Does anyone have experience of using outside financing? To be honest I would prefer to do it with a dealer...

On my last few mercs I at least feel like I have got a good deal!

Any tips and experiences appreciated!

What do you mean by 'level of finance'?

Have they only offered to finance a percentage of its value for you?

What I meant was that they offered a crap, flat interest rate. And wouldn't negotiate and offer an improved rate.

It was a 6% flat rate which is an APR ~ 14%. When from Mercedes I had been used to more like a an apr of 7%.

Yes, there seems to be some good contribution on the RS4 and low rates..

Is that for new or used? My APR is 6.6% on new using audi finance. I think the used finance deals are quite a lot pricier so you're probably better off looking at financing via a 3rd party.

Yes it was for a used S4. £600 per month and a £5K deposit. £24K retail price....

When buying a used car the finance is always higher. The rates offered on a new car are a lot more favourable.

Thankfully I didn't have to finance my two recent purchases wink

If you want the car get a supermarket loan or use an outside broker.
