So my other halves had the tts for a week now and although its a lovely bit of kit, i cant really say i love the way the throttle stays on slightly after you let off the power for gear change. It prolongs any 'fast shifts' unless you're willing to allow for the slight over rev on change. My method so far is: 1) clutch in 2) change gear 3) let clutch out 4) slight pause 5) get back on gas. Without 4 theres either a jar or clunk and thats exactly what id call mechanical sympathy..

Anything tips / mods?

Remap / heavier fly ?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm odd that, I just drive them normally and find the TTS very good indeed.

Check your cruise control is working as the holding revs can be a symptom of the clutch switch failing.

This is the most likely culprit smile

My Leon Cupra R (mk1) has FBW and I noticed this too. I'm given to understand it's there to reduce the jerking in gear changes caused by engine braking when lifting off. I find if i come off the gas and straight onto the brakes it cancels the effect. You'll get used to it.

When I saw the thread title I assumed it was going to be about the logarithmic throttle scaling; this is a trick to make the sporty FBW cars feel quicker than they are, in that (for example) 30% throttle pedal input won't equate to the same throttle body valve opening, it might by 50%. Some folks find this a bit hard to adjust to at first. I had my car mapped by Revo a few years ago and had them add the linear throttle option. This changes the throttle input response so that the throttle body opens to the same percentage as you input on the pedal so the car drives more like a cable throttle car. I found it made the car a touch more civilised around town.
