Turbo trouble?

This morning my car (2010 Seat Ibiza FR 1.4tsi) suddenly made a loud "screeching/whining" noise under hard acceleration and lost power. Every time I go above 3000 rpm, the noise returns and the power dies away. No obvious smoke from exhaust though. Turbo boost hose leak? What do you guys think? Thanks

Turbo issues aren't unknown on these. Could be as simple as a diverter valve or something a bit more serious. Best get some diagnostic equipment hooked up and see what fault codes are being stored

How does it idle when warm? I was thinking diverter valve too.

It seems to idle fine once running; does take some cranking to start though.
Closer inspection yesterday revealed small puffs of blue/black smoke from exhaust when revving or idling...
I take this isn't a good sign?
Garage are closed for Easter, so will have to wait 'till Tuesday to contact them.
