Corrado loving
Discussion
I've recently got a corrado 16v and can't believe how much people love these cars..The attention this car gets which us all standard albeit in great condition is amazing.I have a 911 I also use which a Also gets attention but for a car so cheap the corrado is ridiculous,so happy with my purchase..

Probably the most annoying bit about Corrado ownership is that most people call it a Scirocco.
But that's about it I still love mine, 217k on the clock, getting teething problems but nothing a couple of weekends won't sort. It looks so good in a sea of modern bland!
I love mine so much it gets so much attention nearly as much as my 911..Could easily be my only car amaxingBut that's about it I still love mine, 217k on the clock, getting teething problems but nothing a couple of weekends won't sort. It looks so good in a sea of modern bland!

There just sex on wheels nothing for that price can compare paid £1600 for mine. Was a steal in all fairness 102k on clock and mintBut that's about it I still love mine, 217k on the clock, getting teething problems but nothing a couple of weekends won't sort. Ran an unmodified Inca Blue G60 for a few months as an impulse purchase. Still probably the best handling FWD car I've ever driven.
Very sensitive to colours IMO. Gorgeous in darker colours, especially metallic blues, purples and greens (Inca + Blackberry + Dragon respectively). Always through they looked a bit dumpy in gloss colours like the red and Nugget Yellow.
Also very sensitive to wheel choice. One of the few cars that IMO gets away with being really, really low without looking too low. 16" Comps, wide BBS wheels, Images, CCWs...any dished split-spoke design that's more modern than the RS/RM style. Also look great with the Mk1 Focus RS style 5-spoke lightweight OZ wheels I can't remember the name of on.
Still daydream about having a Lysholm-charged 2.0 20v transplant with a Peloquin'd 6-speed and KW Clubsports.

Loved mine. I ended up having two as the first was written off by a drunk driver in front of my house one night.
Imagine my surprise when I saw it 18 months later when we moved house. It was back on the road and being used by a chap who worked at the local Pizza Express. I often wondered if he knew of the history, but never got the chance to talk to him.

I love them, having owned two in the past it's the only car I really miss.
I sold my silver VR6 about 15 years ago.
I don't remember any real appreciation of them from other people at the time.

They're lovely cars; feel like a bit of an occasion to drive too which is nice.
There's very little else as cheap that sticks quite as big a smile on your face.
To my eye the only 'tweak' a late Corrado needs from factory spec is a subtle drop to lose the tractor arch gaps.
Mine totally stock like it that way,it's true they really are an occasion to drive and people just love em..There's very little else as cheap that sticks quite as big a smile on your face.
