Oil in coolant
Discussion
I have a 1.6 fsi mark 5 golf, and i got the coolant light come on whilst driving.
It has come on before, so I just filled it back up with water, however this time when i opened the cap, oil starting pissing out of it, so i immediately shut the cap, only to realise the whole thing was filled with oil!
The car had been running fine and didn't sound any different when idling, but now my whole engine is covered in oil.
Any ideas as to what the hell has happened?!?! I'm in the process of getting rid, so this is just what I needed!

It could also be a knackered oil cooler, which is located next to the oil filter.
That's what it was in the above case!I mean the last time I drove it, it seemed all well and good, and. I only checked it because my coolant warning light came on!
