Anybody know if a new S3 is in the offing anytime soon?
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one early next year although I'm in no rush. The shape is over ten years old now, a replacement must be due soon?

As mentioned the new S3 is out since 2013. If you are looking for a different shape then the S3 Saloon might be of interest for you, I recently saw one in the metal and it looked much better than in the pictures. Based on history we won’t see a facelift before 2016.I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one early next year although I'm in no rush. There will also be a RS3 next year (400+ hp, 5 cylinder) and rumours suggest that there will be a S3 Plus with the same engine as the normal S3 but with around 360-375 hp. ( source)

Hmmm. S3+. I wonder how much extra it'll be. This is the sort of gen I need!
Thanks
Yes, I am also keeping an eye on the S3+. Hopefully it will get the same calibration as the Golf R which is getting nothing but praise. I just read an article in Evo where they claim the Golf R (same platform and engine as S3) is more fun to drive and more comfortable than the new Impreza. This chassis with the Audi interior would be all I want from a daily car. Thanks
The regular S3 is a bit on the "soft" side with more bodyroll and understeer than the Golf, it would make sense to make the S3+ a bit sportier but not quite as hardcore as the RS3.

The + models typically just have a power bump. The regular S3 is a bit on the "soft" side with more bodyroll and understeer than the Golf, it would make sense to make the S3+ a bit sportier but not quite as hardcore as the RS3.
