RCD 210 to RCD310 DAB Conversion?

I've an RCD 210 in my 2012 Golf 1.6TDI but want an OEM DAB upgrade.

Am i right in saying one of the later RCD 310s on ebay with DAB will work?

I take it i just need to add a screen mounted DAB arial?

I know a 510 is probably the one to go for, but i dont want to spend any more than i have to to get DAB

Yes it should drop straight in provided you have the right antenna. I've got the RCD 510 DAB in my Mk6 works well

I think i would need to get an antenna, but thats handy enough.

Seems like a bit of a no brainer upgrade. It would get me DAB (big fan of PlanetRock), a better interface, options around ipods, and i'd get probably £30 for my 210 on ebay.

So if its a DIY job, i could have it all done for less than £100
