My dad's looking to replace his A4 Avant. Golf 1.4 TSI is high on his list so I suggested he look at the Leon as it seems to be a case of more for less.
Anyone know what discounts are like for them at the moment, or of any particularly good PCP options? I imagine he'll want the 5-door, possibly in Cupra trim.

My PCP deal on a 1.4 ACT FR 5dr hatch was based on a price of £17,600, £500 deposit and £285 pm for 36 months based on 15k miles a year. That was before options, I added convenience pack , spare wheel and panoramic roof, taking it to about £305pm.
The residuals are not quite as strong as the golf but the initial discount and lower interest rate of about 4.2% makes the Leon cheaper I think although I didn't do a direct pcp comparison.

We've just ordered an ST FR with the 1.4TSI ACT engine and tech pack this weekend to replace our ageing Altea FR TDi. Our local dealer matched the DriveTheDeal price which I was pleasantly surprised about and we ended up getting ~£3600 off list price so I suspect now is a good time to be ordering with the end of the quarter coming up.
For us it was a toss up between the ST FR and an Octavia Elegance Estate with the same basic engine, which from DtD prices are within £50 of each other. Both drive really nicely and share a lot of the same interior switchgear etc, the Octavia has slightly more space and a couple of extra cubby holes / pockets although both have ample room with cavernous boots.
The things that swayed us was the kit list on the Leon is marginally better than the Octavia (LED headlights, front as well as rear parking sensors, folding mirrors, visual parking display), it comes with the ACT engine which is marginally more powerful/economical and in the £20/year rather than £110 tax bracket, plus the projected residuals are also marginally in the Leon's favour. One final decider was that SEAT have 0% finance on cars when you pay 50% deposit and although Skoda are also offering 0% PCP, they won't get close to the DtD prices if you want to use it so unless its an outright cash purchase or you finance it separately it will end up costing about £1400 more.

Sounds like you got a cracking deal! What colour did you go for? Have you got an estimated delivery date? Mine is being built middle of October so should be in the UK early November. For us it was a toss up between the ST FR and an Octavia Elegance Estate with the same basic engine, which from DtD prices are within £50 of each other.
