A4 B8 to samsung s3

What's the best cable to connect my samsung S3 to the A4 all the cables I have bought from amazon and ebay only charge the phone they won't acknowledge the phone it just says not supported.
The only input is in the glovebox which is shown below I can't find a jack plug anywhere.
Any ideas?

Photo isn't showing for me - do you have AMI in the glovebox? If so it's a trip to the dealer for an AMI to micro USB I suspect

I've found this works for me with the AMI through the RNSe.

Just select media and pop the 3.5mm jack into the headphone socket.

It wont charge or display details of the tracks playing on the headunit, but will play whatever your mobile is outputting.
