HI ALL , I have recently purchased a audi a3 2.0 tdi Quattro 57 plate? I have sorted the boot lock fault already and now this.

an orange exhaust has appeared on the digital dash board can anyone shed any light on why this is happening as new to audi and haven't driven one before. I have read other post and no other faults have came up as of yet. I am hoping not to be out a lot of cash with xmas and that coming up so any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks smile

Dpf £1500 or take it for a good run and see if it regenerates

DPF. Read the owner's manual first!

A good thrash ie revs above 2500 rpm for 30 mins or so should extinguish if recent. Needs to be taken on longer faster runs to avoid repeated. Or DPF replacement 1.5k.

Unf diesels & auto boxes arn't good at keeping deposits at bay du eto their nature.

If you don't often get the chance to have a good run (20 / 30 mins) on a Motorway / Dual-Carriageway, then try to keep your revs at or above the 2k mark in whatever gear you are in all the time.
This usually contributes to reducing the possibility of the DPF activating.

DPF, it needs a good run.

I notice you're in Scotland, give me a shout if you need VCDS to force a regen.
