B7 RS4 - reverse lights won't go off

I enjoyed the chat about MRC on the thread below regarding recaps. If mine wasn't an Avant used mainly as a family vehicle, it would be fun to make it faster and sound better but I have a car for trackdays so unfortunately no need to improve the RS4.

Anyway, mines just been serviced by Audi and they messed about with the resar lights and changed some wiring loom but they haven't even nearly fixed the problem of parking sensors and reverse lights being on permanently!

Anyone got any suggestions about what might be causing this. Audi don't seem to have fixed it even after 4 days of having the car!

What's the average cost of de-coking? Mines done 33k miles but would it need to be done?

Hi I had reversing lights permanently on on my B7 RS4. It was a switch in the gearbox. When reverse selected...on came light but then got stuck on.

All sorted. But it did take Audi themselves a long time to work it out!

Think even I guessed that's what it was before they figured it out.

some dealers are rubbish! I must have had a good one as they'd seen it before.
