My car is a lease car (company car) and the Superb is cheaper to lease then the VRS - but I'm going to convince my employers that I'm worth it - I've just got to persuade them that they should fork out the extra £14 per month for the blue paint smile

Thanks Guys, had the Superb for 10 days now and very impressed.

Stroud to Heathrow and return at motorway cruising speeds returned 53.8 mpg and getting over 40mpg in mixed rural & (small) town driving.

Comfortable with adequate power when needed.

On the look out for the right spec used model now.

I bought mine (10 plate 170 DSG Elegance) just over a year ago and 30K miles later its been fine.

I came out of an XFS so a bit of a step down on power but the Superb has been gerat as our dogmobile.

Eats motorway miles and smooths out the bumps

Have had over 60MPG on a long run (actually 59.5 according to my phone app but 60.5 according to the car computer) and regularly get over 45MPG on my 52 mile round trip commute on country road.

VAG independent warned me to make sure the DSG oil is changed every 40K miles which ain't cheap but otherwise OK.

Oh, the airbox can vibrate. If you hear a thrumming just above idle lift the bonnet and hold onto the airbox while gently raising the revs. The airbox is only mounted on rubbers and it moves smile

Step up in power from the Prius it will replace.

Step down in power from my two A8L's

Even bigger step down from the Hotrod!

This one has that droning noise, sounds almost like a blow in the exhaust.
