Audi Fixed Price Servicing

I have my S4 B7 booked in for a major at £375 (well £415 as the fixed price service doesn't include the pollen filter apparently)
Seems to be a bargain nonetheless
If it's being done as a loss leader then it'll be interesting to know if you get a "it needs xxxxx doing urgently, it isn't safe, blah, blah, blah" call.Seems to be a bargain nonetheless

I've just been through the service history of the car I just bought and the most recent service wasn't fixed price and the charges were astonishing. Fully synthetic oil at £15 a litre. Labour at £95 an hour. The only concession seemed to be 10% off the parts price.
I had no idea the fixed price would include the S6! I know he paid a fair whack for the last service and also brakes IIRC. Just looking the S8 is covered too for services but not brakes - happy days. Sheepshanks said:

They can advise all they want. It doesn't necessariyl mean that the work is going to be done or done with them...Sheepshanks said:

You'd need someone inside Audi to tell you for sure if it's actually a loss or if Audi are just selling themselves the parts at a much larger discount than they'll give anyone else.I've heard feedback both ways on these - everything from people arguing to get the price online then being quoted for lots of unnecessary work all the way through to the price being volunteered at booking and the process being completely painless.

Shrewsbury Audi were like this. Rear pads and discs also done for fixed price (admittedly I'd have been happy to leave them another 5000 miles but that would have meant another day without the car)Only problem was their initial insistence (on booking in) that a cambelt change was also needed : B8 2.0TFSIs use chains instead. Much grovelling...
Mine (TTS) went in for cambelt, water pump, brake fluid and MOT. All prices quoted on booking.
In fact they went one better and told me that MOTs (including the one done at the time) were free for the lifetime of ownership after the cambelt change. £50 a year saving.
Good news was tempered by needing 2 new magnetic dampers for the rear. Audi wouldn't budge on helping on the cost but the dealership fitted them for free so I can't accuse them of looking for stuff to screw me for to cover their fixed costs.
They did get over a grand from me in the end though....

Well I just collected car from Audi Reading after the service and overall a good experience.Seems to be a bargain nonetheless
They did a major service including spark plug change, winter health check and replaced boot lock (I had a rear hatch fault light on so had to get it sorted) for £500. Also valeted car and gave me a nice A5 courtesy car.
Happy chap with these prices!
