I had this on my A3 2.0T quattro and S3; both via the Bluefin contoller.
It made quite a difference. IIRC, it's quite a conservative map and gives around 240bhp / 240lb.ft - plenty quick enough. I'd guess that put my A3 at least at the level of my R32, perhaps without quite the flexibility of a big N/A lump, but with clear added pep over the standard map.
Incidentally, my Bluefin handset is sat lying around if you can make use of it? I sent it off to Superchips to have my S3 map flashed onto in place of the 2.0T map for around £165, IIRC.

Get a custom map then. 1.2 bar boost will put you in the 280hp ball park. Standard boost for an ED30 is 0.9 bar.
It's the torque that causes clutch slip though, not hp. Mine wasn't slipping @ 334lbft torque, but my mapper had to quit at that point as we were getting low fuel rail pressure fault codes in the midrange. Very common problem on mapped TFSIs, which is why I don't recommend generic maps. You could be running dangerously lean in boost and not know it.
A custom map where the engine is constantly monitored is the safest bet and you will get the real hp numbers, not guesstiamations.

Shark Performance also do a similar system, it's called STS. They're considered one of the best over on the Skoda forums. When I had my Seat Cupra, bluefin didn't get very good reviews. I think it all depends on the car manufacturers, as APR and REVO were all recommended for Seat, yet with Skoda, they aren't.... Very oddThanks
