Fault codes 18265 found in 2 different modules

Hello All
I have an ageing 2003 2.5tdi Audi A6.
It recently behaving very strangely.
On my daily commute two work 45 miles 50% A road 50%motorway the car would shudder, similar to wheel loosing grip, ESP light would turn on and water temperature gauge would drop to 0.
A few minutes later the ESP light would turn off and at the same time the temp gauge would go back to 90.
No other gauge would move.
I have VCDS and when I run a scan the fault code 18265 load signal appears in the location Auto Trans and ABS brakes.
The scan also revel a faulty water temperature sender (G2).
I have issue trying to find out why the same code would appear in two different modules, any help would be most welcome
