HI PLEASE HELP, I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THIS BUT MY EML CAME ON , VE BEEN TOLD THAT ITS A PROBLEM WITH MAF SENSON OR AIR FILTER, THE CARS RUNNING FINE, BUT USING A BIT MORE FUEL THAN USUAL AND SLIGHTLY REVVING WHEN IM STOPPED, IS THIS GOING TO BE A BIG EXPENSIVE PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!!! SORRY JUST NOTICED I SPELLED SLODA INSTEAD OF SKODA HAHA

Unfortunately that is the most sensible option.

Some faults can partially be diagnosed remotely, but you'd need to be able to give lots of information in order to attempt that diagnosis.

When the EMP light is on, the ecu will at least give you a clue as to where the fault lies, but until you actually ask the ecu for this info, it ism literally like pissing into the wind.

It isnt a case of people being rude or unhelpful, it's just the reality of diagnosing problems from afar.

no problem apparently the code came up with maff sensor , but they thought it was just faulty sensor and wiped the light but now its back on. thanks for reply tho

the garage but said couldnt see fault so just thought it was faulty sensor and wiped code

It's going to be an airleak somewhere, a pipe disconnected or with a hole or a tear in it.

It shouldn't break down, any probably wouldn't be more than a £30 hose or similar if you can find it.

hi there went in today, its a lumbar sensor, i aksed how much and he said he didnt know until part comes, tomorrow , does anyone know if this will be expensive job?
