i got my new gti for 16,800 with blue silk metaliic paint and cruise control on, so the s1 looks expsensive at mid 20's but if money was no option id probably go with s1

How is everybodies Polo GTI holding up?
I'm still waiting for mine, the wait is killing me. I'm checking the tracker 3 times a day, no movement frown The dealer still said it's looking like week 20, but the tracker hasn't updated, so i'm guessing it's not being confirmed yet, which doesn't look good.

I've just stumbled across this thread..first time on PistonHeads...
Collected my Polo GTI a few months ago - I adore it, not seen another on the road yet, so give a wave if you spot one!
Found in stock at VW Telford to the following spec -

5dr DSG
Oryx White
Sports Performance Pack
Light & Sight Pack
Sunroof
Climate Control
Navi & Media Pack

The sports pack completely changes the sound, feeling and drive of the car, if you haven't ordered one yet, i think this is a must. Obviously when driving hard, it guzzles fuel.
On motorway drives I'm getting 39 MPG.

Love the interior and exterior, can't speak highly enough of this car.

If your still undecided, i hope this changes your mind.

I test drove one of these today... was very impressed, though it wasnt the spec I'd want (it was manual and with no sports pack)

sorely tempted. How to go about getting a good deal on one?

i got mine through drive the deal. check them out worth a look, even if it is just to haggle with your local dealer.
HOWEVER, check what the lead time is. I ordered mine, 12th Feb with a build week of week 20, which was supposed to be today, so i was pretty excited, only to be told my date has been pushed back to the end of June. By the time it arrives it will be 6 month. really not happy to be honest.

Ordered in Feb, pickup tomorrow. Ordered via drive the Deal (overall sales experience has been good, dealing with JCB VW Gillingham). Will post pics once I have it.

I bought the car blind, must admit the gti does look good in person compared to the usual boring polo models. I always end up going back to silver, previous cars were white (prefer metallic finish). Did 100 miles trip computer reported 44 mpg (60mph on motorway), not bad considering.

I've just had by build week confirmed for the beginning of the June. The dealer is hopeful it can be built, shipped from Germany (where all GTIs are supposedly built) and ready for collection before the end of June. I've said i'll expect it July smile . Only a month and half to go!!

I absolutely love mines, heading towards 800 miles done in her now (almost all city/driving), problem I have is I love her so much that I'm wondering if I should have just bought one rather than PCP'ed her! Haha. Have yet to see anyone else in one, which is pretty cool. It's hard a lot of very positive feedback from people who have seen mines smile

This was her not long after I got her, I'll try and get a better picture of her soon, after she's been cleaned, she's a bit messy at the moment!

PS - Not really keen on silver/grey cars, but I think yours looks ace Roy, enjoy.

White does look really good as well, been getting quite a few smiles from people...they shocked how good it looks even for a polo. My kids even prefer it to the Porsche Macan at the moment, they say it's faster wink Brings back memories of my mk2 golf gti days...

I''m on the verge of ordering the 2015 Polo GTI and was considering the adjustable chassis as an extra. Any experience out there as to how different are the settings between ' comfort ' and ' sport ' ? Is 'comfort' therefore comparable to the ride feel of the basic Polo models ?
