I''m on the verge of ordering the 2015 Polo GTI and was considering the adjustable chassis as an extra. Any experience out there as to how different are the settings between ' comfort ' and ' sport ' ? Is 'comfort' therefore comparable to the ride feel of the basic Polo models ?
I ordered it due to re-sale valus, plus it's a GTi. I find the ride firm, but fine in normal driving, but when I select sport mode it does really firm up, unless the road is nice\smooth becomes abit harsh the ride. I would only press the sport mode when I want to play around, otherwise normal mode is fine.I think the standard setup probably be abit softer, but will still be sport suspension\firm, since the GTi is lowered by standard.
Overall normal setup will be fine, but the sport mode makes the Gti go up a level.
Test drove one yesterday (manual) and was very impressed! I asked to drive a "crappy broken road with potholes" so I could gauge the ride comfort and it was excellent even with the sport button on (couldn't tell the difference to be honest)
There was definately some torque steer which I'm not used to coming from having NA Renaultsports but with 236ib/ft on tap it's hardly a shock and the thing just absolutely pulls from such low revs which makes it an absolute gem to drive around town.
The boot was smaller than expected due to the battery and spare wheel both being in the boot and considering small cars have got so much larger I would have expected more leg room in the rear but it was perfectly adequate.
To me it looks lovely and understated and I may even end up buying it!

Very nice have had mine since October.. Not as much fun to drive as my previous R56 Cooper S but it's still a pretty decent all rounder. Remaps can yield some pretty impressive results but I find that traction is already pretty rubbish when on it so not sure if it would be more of a help or a hindrance!

I've not had a proper chance to drive one "on it" yet but that shocks me as it's got 215 wide tyres on 17" rims and that X diff or whatever it's called so I would have thought it would be decent.
I did think to myself is this car worth 17 grand or so more than my 172 and just putting my foot down on the test drive at 2k rpm confirmed that it was LOL

Great looking cars, guy at work picked one up a few weeks ago and we went out for a drive at lunch and I must say I like them a lot! Was quite funny when he pulled up behind me in my Golf R on a drive home from work last week with the intention of showing up it's older brother, safe to say that didn't happen He was impressed with the turn of pace from the golf, while I was very complimentary about his polo!
I didn't like these wheels at first but they have really grown on me and it's true they make the older design look really dated. I'm shocked at how much attention the car gets considering it's a bit of a 5 door sleeper look imo
Can tell I'm used to a ste clio 172 driving position as I can't seem to get comfy in the Polo yet. In the clio I would whack the seat right to the floor and feel like I was sat on top of the car. With this car I have a feeling j may need to raise the seat as my legs before the knee don't sit flat on the seat. Far from making it easy to get a good position I think having so much choice just makes it even harder for me lol
