I drive a mk6 GTi. great car imo. would suggest a remap though as you don't get that surge of power until 3000 RPM. Having said that, it is a quick caer, sounds good, and a very nice cabin. Far better than the mk5.

Although for 15k I would probably go for an ED30, as you won't get much spec on a mk6 for that.

For £15k I'd buy the tidiest E46 M3 I could afford. I know I said "try a Scirocco or ED30" earlier but if you're swearing off VW group then why not.
£15k should get you a tidy run-out CS.

If you can live with a coupe how about an Infiniti G37?

I can understand your frustration with VAG, it was their attitude over a troublesome A3 that drove me to Honda.
