Can anyone advise as to which fuses they've used to connect their dash cams to? I have located the CD drive as an unswitched fuse, but am struggling with the switched one. I've found one called "gateway" but have no idea what this is, and if it is a critical system I should avoid.

I have a 2010 S5 convertible if that's relevant and am fitting a Blackvue cam and a PowerMagic Pro.

Just run it off the dimming mirror supply, there was a recent thread on here about, also means you dont end up ripping half the car apart.

I've seen that thread, but that power supply is switched. I've run the cables round to the fuse box but now want to know what fuses other people picked to piggy back onto.

Rear wiper fuse for me - it is switched and is generally always under loaded, perfect for piggybacking a dash cam or sat Nav off.
