2015 Touareg 262 R line
Discussion
I had one for a weekend when I was car shopping a few months back, good package and the engine/drivetrain is strong, but overall I think it is getting a little long in the tooth. the one I had was on standard springs and the ride was ok but no match for the Discovery but I've heard the air suspension car is better. Depends what you want, I like them but couldn't bring myself to buy one but I always admire them on the road, one of those cars i almost bought.
I've got one on order - 262 Rline, with Dynamic CDC suspension - I drove two back to back, one with steel springs & one without. The air is worth having & makes a big difference to the car(imo). VW tell me it's left the factory & I should have it around the end of the month. We ordered via a broker - local dealer wouldn't / couldn't get close to the pricing available through a broker - makes the car seriously good value for money compared to what else is out there.

Thats an insane deal! Its got me thinking....My first VW so I was a bit unsure stepping from an E Class but after seeing the quality of my sons Golf R I need not worry. Now it's here I can honestly say it is pretty good, no squeaks thuds or rattles, a very nice place to sit. It is very smooth, I know most say the spring suspension arrangement is a bit harsh compared to the air suspension but it is fine. I started a thread about the start stop being a bit too keen but I'm sure I'll adapt to it.
Its averaged nearly 31mpg in the first 300 miles so that bodes well, so long as the figure starts with a 3....heavy traffic seems to be around 28 and cruising low 30's. Managed 36 on a gentle A road trip at the weekend. It is very wide and you sit nice and high. Lots of grunt to overtake, quite effortless for such a heavy car. Overall very impressed so far.
