13 days and counting!! Can't wait for mine to be delivered... Really great reading current owners positives! I shall look to be as helpful on receiving...
Hi statattackman. Could you share with us your order date and other order tracking dates? More to know about estimate delivery date from date of order. Thanks
I spent the day driving a Merc GL yesterday, I think the vehicle was about 12 months old and it's a big old tank, probably about the same size as my old Landcruiser. I'm not sure what these things list at, but in the region of £60k+ and this car had a few extra's like Nappa leather, audio and 360 camera.
The GL rolled all over the place (it's on air) and on a tree lined road that is full of roots I wouldn't say it was any smoother than myTreg that's on springs.
It is a heavy lump, about 300 kilo's heavier, but has way more torque, although out on the road you'd not really notice the extra torque due to the weight of it.
The GL has the nicer interior, but then you'd expect that and the extra row of seats came in handy, they are electrically operated as well. But the column change is like a relic from the 50's, can't get my head around this idea at all.
Overall I prefer the Treg to drive, it just feels more planted and in comparison a fair bit smaller, I also don't like blingy cars, the Merc in white was not my cup of tea, the Treg is far more discrete.
A slight cloud is appearing on the horizon with the Treg, my drivers seat creaks like a bugger, definately getting worse and from more than one spot.
It's in tomorrow to have the leak on the water bottle fixed, I'll mention the seat at the same time and see what they say.

Coin - I know what you mean about the GL, we had one for a few days when on holiday in the USA. It does not seem that large out there, but when I see them on the road out here they look huge. From memory I think ours was a 450 petrol, very smooth on the good quality roads of the USA, quiet and refined, but it did pitch and roll a lot (can't remember if it had air suspension or not). The interior was a nice place to be with good quality materials, but then again its a more expensive car. A friend has the previous model RR Sport with air suspension and I always feel that has a bit of an unnatural ride, it seems to pitch about a bit, thats why I will be quite happy with the standard springs, however having said that other Touareg owners have good things to say about the air suspension, so I guess its down to personal taste and cost. My order is still showing "with the factory" despite being ordered on 23 March.
I tried reporting the iPhone/Satnav/Data issue to the tech, he understood what I was saying, but he said VW take no notice at all of feedback from techs. He said a better route of feedback is to go through customer services directly, I'll do that today, the more feedback the more likely they will fix it.

It's years since I have had a sunroof in a car as my last two cars have been convertibles, can you please let me know if you get much buffeting when you have the roof open.
Hardly any at all, I pretty much drive everywhere with mine open, although it's obviously more noticable the faster you go.Lol just use it as a pan roof, I have never opened it... the only thing I open and close is the blind.
MPG update; last tank was 30.9mpg mainly stuck in traffic which really kills it, 14 miles of traffic can see it do a journey at nearer 25mpg, even with start stop cutting the engine..... it's still good for 35-38mpg on clean journey though.

Mine's averaging 25ish too, again round town with no decent runs since the last fill up.
I discovered that you shouldn't open the sunroof after heavy rainfall, I managed to flood the centre console, fortunately I had a cloth to wipe up the water before it got into any of the switchgear.

My car is delayed, I was hoping to have it by the end of May, Week 17 build, stuck in transit aparently, missing some parts after fire in factory, still showing as in Transit on the tracker...
Mine is white with towbar as the only option. I like the white and it will be the second white on our drive! Matching his and hers
Although the missis isnt too impressed she is stuck in a qashqai for another 2 years
If anyone hears any further progress on cars stuck in transit or waiting for parts or has been told what parts are missing please let me know.

It seems strange that the status of your car is "In Transit" if it still requires parts. I would have thought that "In Transit" means its all finished and on its way to the dealership, unless the parts in question can be fitted after build, even then it would be better if the status remained as "Build in Progress".
I think VW needs to sort the "Track your Car" option out as it seems totally useless in my experience and probably causes more enquiries to dealerships asking for updates than if it were not available.

Hi Chaps,
First impressions are great, the car arrived yesterday and I did not appreciate how large it is, even from having seen it at the dealership, needless to say, I am not particularly bothered or phased by that, in white the car looks amazing!! The 20" Tarragona wheels really set the car off! The drive is smooth, it feels almost effortless, and best of all it does not sound like a diesel, which goes to say that the car is really well insulated and sound proofed.
There are two things which are bugging me, these are not deal breakers:
1. I cannot figure out how to get the Sat Nav to use the data from my phone
2. The Sat Nav screen is ever so slightly angled towards the passenger and not the driver
After only having driven 50 miles yesterday in and around town I cannot comment on its cruising ability and long drive comfort. I will post a more comprehensive review/thoughts soon.
Hope all your guys cars come soon and the stock issue is sorted soon as it is a great looking car!

If your phone doesn't support RSAP (Apple and Microsoft phones don't and only some Android phones) then the nav and phone won't play nicely together, there's info in the threads above about it.I got my car back from Breeze Volkswagen, it was all washed and hoovered. They found a loose hose going from the washer bottle to the headlamp squirter, gravity was allowing the water to drain the bottle. I got an email later in the day with a link to a video of my car being inspected from underneath while it was on the 4 post ramp and then showing the issue itself, very clever.
