If you mean car net connect http://volkswagen-carnet.com/int/en/start/online-d... this is generally for cars using the same infotainment system as the mk7 golf it can be enabled if you have a compatible stereo(which as far I can see the RNS 810 isn't )
According to all the spiel, and according the the head unit it enables both Google Street View and Google Satellite imagery into the Navigation. I think it also enables POI search through the app
The options exist in the menu - under Nav/Setup

Evening Chaps,
I now have my car and am keen to get a view on the following from those of you who have owned there's for a bit, and therefore learnt some of the characteristics.
i was playing around with the various gearbox modes and all seemed fine in D and S. Obviously i wasn't pushing on too hard as it's so new.
I then tried manual shifting +/- in S Mode with the paddles, and noticed that occasionally (when downshifting) there was a very long delay getting back on the power - 2 seconds or so.
Worth noting that the gear appears to engage as the revs change, it just has no throttle. It seemed to be most prominent going from 4th to 3rd.
Most of the other time it pops up and down the gears perfectly, so i know the car is capable of quick changes.
The only way to describe it is like extreme turbo lag, which I haven't ruled out. The ratios on the Treg are very different to the ZF unit in my BMW X3 and X5
I tried turning of the coasting function but no difference.

Just wanted all new buyers to be aware of the costs of servicing package when leasing the car.
Went to my dealer yesterday as possible collection hopefully next week. Initially was quoted 29.99£ per month for 18 months to include service package.
However later he was able to change to 9.06£ per month for 24 months because of the car being on lease, which in my opinion is bargain.
Hope this helps.

I had a spin last night across country and blipped up and down using the paddles and had no issues going up or down the range.I now have my car and am keen to get a view on the following from those of you who have owned there's for a bit, and therefore learnt some of the characteristics.

Yours doesn't sound right, could just need some time to learn your driving style? (do auto's still do this?).
I'd carry on and get it up to 1000 miles and then see if it still does it.

Drmsa - can you tell me a little more about the deal on the service package please.Did you just ask your dealer for a price and then said your car was on lease?
£9 per month seems unbelievably cheap, did he mention why the discount when you said that the car was on lease?
Discussing with the salesman at dealership while I was in signing all the paperwork, he looked into a couple of options for servicing for me. The standard one was nearly 30£ per month for 18 months which would include two services. I found that service package to be quite expensive. He then started looking at lease service packages which was only 9.09£ per month for 24 month again including 2 services. £9 per month seems unbelievably cheap, did he mention why the discount when you said that the car was on lease?
I personally think this should be offered to everyone who is leasing a car. But I had to kind of force it out.
Hope it works for you as well as its standard VW pack.
