I've enjoyed mine, but if I'm honest it's a little too up market for me. I'm getting a T6 Sportline, more practical for my family, dogs and mountain bikes.

The Treg is leagues ahead of my wife's X4 M Sport in almost everyway.

Was hoping this quarter had some decent Treg deals, it didn't. Thinking about extending mine if no deals come forth as I need something large to load up in early summer for my sons wedding in France next year.
The RLine plus had the best deals recently but at near £12k over the 24m it was just a bit too Rich for my liking, given I'm currently sitting in one at nearer £10k.
I think the Treg is due replacement next year, so hold out hope there are some mad deals in Q1 next year on a short lead time, ie pre ordered....
I did go look at the new Tiguan, far too low rent for my liking tbh...
Also not dismissing the potential of the Skoda Kodiaq due out next year though.

Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a used Touareg 262 at the moment as VW have the 6.8% APR on used cars running until end of the month. I'm looking at PCP deals and this one was offered to me and just wondering if it looked ok?

Cash Price £32,498
Deposit £5000
47 months at £387
Final payment of £14962
10000 miles a year
6.8% APR

This includes 3 years of tyre replacements and wheel refurbs (up to a certain amount)
I have to pay GAP insurance £499 one off payment.

Thanks for any advice and recommendations.

Sounds a bit rich to me, what year and mileage is it?

Is the offer conditional on taking their GAP? It'll be far cheaper from Ala, and use the PH discount.

If you hand the car back then it's basically like leasing at near-enough £500/mth. I don't know, feels like a lot to me.

If you're on a budget bear in mind Tourareg doesn't qualify for a lot of the fixed-price VW service and maintenance deals - and some of the parts prices seem to be affected by their use on Cayenne.

We've had the R-Line 262 for 2 years now, 19k miles driven. Just replaced tyres (it's big, but it can still shift and corner) and a service is now due. We're paying £414/month with £1200 down on a 6+35 - we agreed a 50% cash back on deposit from VW. It's been the wife's car, but I've used it for camping/shooting/fishing trips/dump runs/long drives etc.

Highly recommend the car - so much so that when the lease ends March next year I am keen to drive the new model due out and get one of those. IMO the 'deal' you're being presented with sounds a bit rich tbh - this is a car that is coming to end of it's model life, so I would expect a bit more movement in price. If you're not going to buy it outright, why not look at a lease option rather than tying up capital in a PCP? Ours will cost £15.7k over the 3 years (excluding servicing etc etc) which doesn't even seem to cover the depreciation!

Hi, no I don’t have to take out their GAP it’s just something they offered to me at the dealership. When I’m looking at other size vehicles I can’t see anything that I’m going to get for the same age and payments as that.

In regards to the service and maintenance the used car offer is 2 years servicing and 2 years warranty. If what your saying is correct does that mean a lot of the parts won’t be covered with the warranty/servicing?

I wouldn’t mind getting a lease deal but can’t seem to find any good deals at all. Yours sounds a brilliant deal with the deposit you put down and monthly payments.
Where did you source your deal from if you don’t mind me asking? Is that with 10K PA?

I was thinking of a 2015/2016 model when looking at mine but thought the 2017 would be worth a bit more when it came to the end of my PCP.

I really do want one but I just feel I never know if I’m getting the best deal I can.

I hate VW for the way they handle servicing - the 2yrs you have will only cover basic servicing, anything like transmission fluid changes and probably even brake fluid (sometime they'll include it, sometimes they won't) will be extra and all of the fixed price servicing and extras they do exclude Touareg. If you get the car on VW finance then it has to be dealer serviced.

Mine is just about to go back at end of lease.

3 years old, 25,000 miles, 1 service, 0 tyres, 0 discs/pads.

Supremely reliable, comfortable and a very refined drive.

VWFS want £23,350 for it, glad I leased it at £365 +vat over 36 months.

Only 2 gripes, the stop/start is a bit too keen to kick in and the infotainment system not playing nicely with iPhones.

I'll be very sorry to see mine go, I'm quite tempted to keep it but don't really have a use for another vehicle in the household.

Thanks for all your replies. From reading them all it’s looking like a lease deal is my best option. Has anyone seen any good lease deals on these? Pretty sure some can be had seeing as they won’t be manufacturing them soon.

Right the wife has set her heart on one of these, seeing as VW have the 6.8% APR used car event at the moment, am I better just getting a 15 plate one for £22/£25k? Before I was looking at 17 plates @£30k which were coming in at £380 a month with £5k down 10k miles a year.

I can see myself owning the car for 3 years and then chopping it in for the new shape once they have flooded the used car market.

Am I losing the plot getting one confused
