Golf R servicing and maintenance
Discussion
Evening all,
Got my finance paperwork through and noticed that I can add maintenance, servicing and tyres for an additional £25/month ~£600 for the two years - is it worth it?
Dealer said it'll only need servicing once over the two years. However I fully intend to go through one set of tyres & probably a set of discs and pads during the two years
How is the R on servicing and maintenance?
Cheers

Make sure there's no "fair usage" type of clause in the T's&C's. Although when Q7 first came out and absolutely ate tyres, people were getting their money back on the maint package just on tyres alone. We had the package on a SEAT Ibiza and it reminded of the bad old days of having a company lease car - had to take the car to a fast-fit place who measured the tyres as 3mm even though they were worn flush to the TWI's. They'll only replace at 2mm so a heck of an argument with VAG's maint controller then ensued. He agreed to authorise 2 tyres, which they put on the front (due to the mix of tyres probably OK, but absolutely bad practice by default) and they had to be Conti Eco Contact tyres when the original tyres (and the ones remaining on the back) were Dunlop Sport somethings.
