There was an attempt car jacking of an S3 in the Allesley area of Coventry (quite a nice area North of the city) on 5.30pm Saturday evening. Female driver was beaten with a baseball bat.

I know the DC dealing with this - apparently Audis are once again the car of choice for the scum.

Shocking. You get isolated incidents but to hear people in parts of the UK won't buy cars like an Audi S3 for fear of being carjacked is disturbing. Are these areas really turning into such ghettos?

At the last count I think it was 3 'R's in the last 2 weeks or so.

The offenders for the S3 job have been caught, luckily. The area of Coventry it happened in is actually a nice area - unfortunately the scum travel across from the less salubrious parts of the city. Golf R's and Audis are the cars of choice at the moment. There was an RS4 taken by car jacking a few weeks ago in the Tile Hill area - found 30 mins later due to Tracker.

I'm somewhat surprised they haven't released details of what the attacker looked like or was wearing.
