As the title says, I have had more than enough problems with my 1.9 tdi 105 fitted to my 59 plate Skoda superb.
So a question, would a 130 tdi fit as a straight swap, without to much modification, I know the 130 was fitted front to back instead of transversely, but I think everything should connect up , I also think I may require the ecu

Welcome to Pistonheads.

Both transverse and inline variants of the 1.9 130 PS were available.

It would be easier, probably cheaper and significantly less of a headache simply to purchase a car fitted with a 2.0 TDI CR from teh factory.

I agree with Dr G

The 130PS 1.9 TDI is a generation older than the 105PS 1.9 TDI. You're better of going a generation newer to the CR 140PS 2.0 TDI, and swapping cars will be cheaper than swapping engines smile
