I wonder how it works? Does each dealer have an allocation or something like that?

Each dealer has an allocation but unless your dealer already had an order in the system, they won't now be able to order one. What you will need to do is speak to various dealers to see who has one already in the system.

When I spoke to him, he said he wasn't stopped when he tried to place and order and hasn't heard anything about it. He mentioned that when the Q7 was stopped they were told and unable to get to the stage he went to.

I hope this isn't the case

Having owned an S4 avant for 3 years-ish i dont think it feels old or out of date. In fact even to this day it feels good to drive. Amazing engine, more than powerful enough but also a great cruiser.

I do 15 miles a day commute, average 23mpg. Average 31 on a motorway commute.

B&O hi-fi is amazing.
