audi a4 b8 rear parking sensor beep stopped working? buzzer?

My car parking sensors beeps have stopped working.
Diags done so far
Fuses checked - fine, and sensors all "pulse" on the rear bumper - I have not dented or had an accident on the rear bumper either.
This has only happened since I took out the space saver wheel (had a puncture on one of my tyres) in the rear boot and generally loading up my rear boot as I've been to the rubbish tip alot in the last week and may of "jogged" a loose wire that Audi "fitted" with a piece of black masking tape near the car speakers (black and red) which appears to run into the rear quarter driver side in the boot.
The kit that has been installed was retro fitted by audi in 2008 after the car had been delivered from factory.
I am thinking that it could be just the "buzzer" that is broken, but my gut instinct is telling me I have accidentally hit a cable/broken/disconnected something.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot?
I've also had the car plugged into vcds and the parking sensors are not listed on the because they are "retro fitted".

managed to fix this today.
I traced back the cable - black and red to the buzzer which located under the rear speaker...
I reseated the black/red buzzer cable on the cobra control unit (located in rear quarter driver side boot) and hey presto it worked !
Audi retro fitted this (have proof on original invoice - it should of been factory fitted ) but did a BAD job - the black red cable wasn't recessed , It was simply "gaffer taped" up in the boot as the lazy engineer couldn't be bother to do a proper cable run.
