Mine should be arriving on Thursday.
Only 3 months late....
Ouch. The lead times seem all over the place at the moment. For instance I ordered a hatchback on the 15th September and I received my 5b notification this morning. Assuming it will be at the dealer in 3 weeks that will be a little over 11 weeks. I've heard of similarly short times frames recently, but in contrast some people waiting over 9 months!Only 3 months late....

Mine landed in the country this week, should be able to go and see it at the dealer in a couple of weeks. Not going to pick it up until after christmas but might hold out until March.
Swapped a Porsche Cayman for it, so it better be good. Went with quite a high spec, though I went with the standard wheels because it's much easier to find winter tires for 18 inch wheels.
Spec as far as I can remember is:
Black,
debadged
sunroof
winter pack
nav
dynaudio
mudguards
sill protector
wish i could remember the rest :/
Will be a nice surprise. Can't wait.
That blue looks lovely.

Have only just used it for the trip to work and back (less than a mile) so have not really got into it yet.
But initial thoughts are: Doesn't feel all that much quicker than my previous car (an old leggy Volvo T5), no leccy memory seats, no heated seats, boot with seats up nothing special, mega thirsty but that's probably more to do with the short urban journeys, cheery so and so aren't I?
But I think once I get my head round the box a bit better it will grow on me.
I only had the option of white or red, think the blue looks smart as.

Currently driving Golf R Estate for a road test feature in the forthcoming Jan 2016 issue of Volkswagen Driver magazine
Lapiz blue, with 18s and DCC
I'll be interested to hear from owners with R Estate about their own experiences, impressions, findings ( mpg etc ) in particular what their previous cars were and why they chose R Estate ( has anyone changed from an R hatch to an R Estate I wonder? )
Please email me at Neil.Birkitt@autometrix.co.uk
cheers :-)
