Looking at heading up to them for some arbs on the R32, it's prob 170 mile round trip.

Anyone used them and care to comment on the quality of their work?

Local to me I have
JKM
Regal

Bit further up The Phirm (much more expensive quote).

I have no idea what they are like nowadays as I sold my R32 in 2008 but they were well respected VAG tuners back then.

Used them over recent years for my S4 and more recently Mk5 GTI. Always very efficient and been very fair on pricing. Fortunately neither car ever needed much more than servicing so can't comment on bigger jobs but if I get back into a VW/Audi I'd be going back there for sure...

Don't know why you wouldn't just use JKM if they're local to you...

I used them for about 5 years when it was convenient for me. Good guys, good customer service, good quality works. They did my poly buhses, brakes, ARBs, suspension, Full Miltek + stage 2 etc over the years. My R was usually the cheapest motor in there by some margin. Was a slightly longer round trip for me.

APS are excellent. Ed, the front office guy (and director) is a top bloke.

I've used them for Audis, VWs and an aircon regas on my MINI.

Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

If you're just having uprated ARB's fitted and if they are the same brand why not get them fitted at a place more local to you? ARB's are not rocket science to fit.

I agree, part of me is looking at checking them out and for the drive.

All other work TBH I'll head to Kate and Jim with their JKM crew.

Maybe it's the amount of RS models that APS have going through their workshop.

Nathan and Ed really know their VAG and many other brands.
Nathan trained with AmD of old when Geoff Everett ran the company but sadly he passed away.
They were a small very professional tuning company but Geoff was a master of tuning having developed Kstar
He was one of the engineers who developed Crypton and worked advising BMW in Germany within their R&d
Nathan who runs and I believe owns APS was their apprentice and knows his stuff
They look after and tune all the high end Rs and R& models

Exactly! However, you can take solace in the fact that it wouldn't be 'test driven' to within an inch of it's life as it's a pretty normal car for them. That and their professionalism.

Very highly recommended. Ed's always been brilliant with both my cars - Octavia VRS and, even though it's not VAG, they've done some excellent work on my Megane 250. Friendly, professional, trustworthy - a well-deserved reputation.

I've been using APS for about 9 years now. Its 100 miles each way to get my vehicles worked on and I wouldn't take them anywhere else if I have the choice. They have looked after my MK4 Golf R32 for all those years doing quite a few upgrades along the way, they then got to work on my VW Caddy coming up with some clever solutions to issues trying to upgrade the brakes and they've recently fitted an Akrapovic system to the R32s replacement, a B8 RS4. Great service, nice guys, and have won Independent Service Provider of the year (voted by readers of Audi Driver Magazine) for the last 9 years even though a few of their clients, me included, have never voted for them as Ed doesn't like bothering anyone to remind them the vote is taking place!

Was that recently as there was a lovely B8 RS4 on their Facebook for the exhaust you have.

Experience was good last week.
New ARBs
New rear discs

An expensive day
