Pick up our A1 tdi tomorrow. It's a 2012 on 44k and was after some advice on what will need doing / anything we can do now to prevent future issues?

For instance I have a 530d and to make sure the dpf regens the thermostats need to be working (and they are always knackered). Value Anything along those lines would be great.

Yep hehe
Expect to hear from Audi soon regarding the voluntary recall!

It will be worth changing the cambelt in 2017 when the car reaches 5 years old

Haha no way it's going in for a recall. I. E a De tune. It's a 1.6 diesel.

Yeah cambelt I had planned. Does the dpf regen in this model?

DPF should give you no issues if it's regularly used at speed; they're well behaved these days. They can suffer with urban use but that'll hurt the EGR first.

Did it have its fuel filter changed at 40?
