That’s lovely
Hopefully joining the S4 club soon couple lines up to view.
Thanks Patch1875. There wasn't much of a pool to choose from for a non-Black Pack S4. IMO an "S" Audi needs aluminium mirrors, not black.Hopefully joining the S4 club soon couple lines up to view.
There are not that many out there. My local Audi dealer was bemoaning the lack of nationwide stock (same as all manufacturers at the mo) and how dealers were extremely reluctant to part with new models if there wasn't a similar one to swap with.
You might have better luck if you are looking for <1 year-old/ex-demo cars, but there didn't seem to be the great incentives on them that the dealer was offering on new registrations.

I’m looking in the 2-3yo market think I have a deal done on one just trying to finalise a deal. There are not that many out there. Will post up a pic if it goes ahead.
Well the RS4 lasted two weeks and was rejected! Suspension fault and general bad vibes. Few gearbox glitches, steering was vague and steering wheel off centre.
Replaced by a 2 year old S4.
Far nicer place to be than the RS4 to be honest with newer tech, without the lovely V8 though.
Doesn’t look as good as the RS4 but decent performance.

Wozzers - all change. RS4 must have been a proper lemon!Replaced by a 2 year old S4.

Is that S4 a petrol version? Like the stealth look. Have a debadged B8.5 S4 avant version.
can always swap put the alloys if it does bother you i guess. Im sure it would transform the looks.
Yeah petrol version. Alloys are growing on me to be honest and you are right it’s stealthy in grey.
How long have you had your S4?
RS4 was a potential financial disaster I think. DRC suspension not covered by Audi anymore as it’s deemed a design flaw, so I couldn’t get that covered apparently. Big bill coming up at 40k miles too for all the transmission oil so best out of it.
S4 a much nicer drive to be honest. Less brutal and steering more precise. Massively missing my F80 M3 though - bloody dogs, lol

We have had our S4 Avant for abt 1 year now. Done about 6k. Came from an S3 sport back 8P. The supercharger on the S4 unleashes instant power. The S3 needed a little reving before it got going. How long have you had your S4?

Sound like you really looked at all possibilities on the RS4. Most would just go with their heart.
i find it a bit odd that the (petrol) S4 doesn't get as much love. Don't see that many around. Everyone goes on and on about the RS4, and it is cool don't get me wrong, but is it worth the extra for most people? I get that the S4 is softer, but to me that's a bit of an attraction rather than a negative. I am tossing up between a S4 avant and a C43 estate, when the dealerships open again.

The S4 is fast, grips well of course and sounds pretty decent. Better than my F80 M3. I only had the RS4 for 2 weeks which was fully loaded and looked the part, but clearly not meant to be.I’ve not got the sports diff or fancy suspension on the S4 so at least they can’t break!

Cheers Zorba glad you’re loving your S4Sound like you really looked at all possibilities on the RS4. Most would just go with their heart.
I really wanted to give the car a chance but too many issues in the first two weeks. Totally spooked me. I normally keep my cars for 4 years but this is the first time I’ve ever realised so quickly a car needed to go.
I owned E46 M3s for about 9 years mainly out of warranty but I didn’t fancy playing breakdown roulette on the RS4!! 9k for a gearbox and 4k for fixing the DRC suspension. No thanks.
S4 still under Manufacturers warrant on 25k miles hopefully a safer bet
