'MMI Plus' is standard on all A6/S6/RS6 cars fitted with the Techno pack or higher. I believe this is standard equipment on the RS6.

Drive a RS6 demo car this week. Very nice it was too. It had the Dynamic steering option.

Im having trouble finding a demo car near me without to test. Too be honest I need to keep the costs down.

Anyone have views on the Dynamic steering. Im going for standard suspension as I need to tow.

thx

Dynamic Steering just increases the power assistance when you select comfort mode.

I didn't know you could delete it.

Good question - I'm just doing the same... biggrin

Current thinking:

Sepang blue
standard 20" alloys
advanced key with boot opening system
assistance pack
audi connect + phone box
model deletion
black pack + black door mirrors
panoramic sunroof
head up display
heated front / rear seats
parking pack advanced
privacy glass
rear side airbags
speed limit display
heated steering wheel
tow bar

missing anything? scratchchin

Yes, you really need to think twice about the standard wheels. The RS6 is an aggressive car, it's wide and it's low. The 20's do not fill the wheel arches properly (in my opinion) and it takes a lot of that aggressive look and feel away from the car if not on the bigger 21's.

In addition, your colour scheme is all wrong, Sepang blue with privacy and black pack needs the high gloss black wheels to complete the look. Your car is going to look a little odd with silver wheels (again in my opinion) Even more so in your case as you will have the dark roof too with the panoramic sunroof.

I think the 21's are the first must have option on the RS6 but that's just my opinion. Of course, we are all different, you may well prefer the look and feel of the 20's?

Pic below shows the look very well...

They are great cars, the ultimate all rounder I would say.

Darn it - I had the black wheels on originally and thought I'd saved £2000 laugh

What is the ride quality like on standard air suspension and 21" wheels? I had a S3 years ago and the suspension was so hard that I sold the car after 3 months, I don't want to do that again... I'm not after american barge levels of floatiness but would appreciate a smooth ride when I fancy wafting along and for it to sharpen up a bit when I hit the twisties...

21's in comfort mode with air suspension is a joy.

I share your sentiments on the S3, I had a new one for 6 months last year and the suspension was ridiculously hard, I just didn't enjoy it.

The RS6 is nothing like that, no complaints at all about a harsh ride on the 21's from me. I've heard a lot of other owners also praise it's comfort on the 21's and Air.

I took the opposite approach. I went for 20" wheels as £2k extra for bigger wheels is daft. I will buy aftermarket wheels for around that same price and still have the 20" to sell if I feel like it or put back on the car and sell the aftermarket ones. Either way I am not giving audi £2k for 1" lol

I spec'd up my m5 and lost a load of cash. not done much on the RS it comes well spec'd anyway

It's £2000 additional for the wheels minus the discount element of around 15% so around £1700 in reality. The same can be said for all the additional extras I suppose.

However, I do agree with you, if you can be bothered, keep the standard 20's, buy the 21's separately, sell the 20's and then recoup some/most of what you spent on the 21's. You should beat the £1700 price noted above but you do have the hassle of doing all this and finding the right set of 21's at the right price. The 20's will sell for around £15-1800 on eBay new (minus selling costs) The 21's are likely to cost you around £2-2.5k on eBay.

Quite a few of us with RS6's or those that have them on order now smile

my car was built this week, and will be ready for collection at delaer in December. Having said that, I'm away a bit in Dec, and for the sake of a week's use, I'm planning to resist the temptation and register it in 2016.

Will be on 21s, but thinking about ordering the 20" wheels with winter tyres through Euro dealer on eBay. £2k all in with tyres. Audi UK wanted 3.5k...

I am in the 20 inch wheel camp too. I think they look better (21s too cartoonish for me - fine on a Range Rover but not a normal car). With AMG the debate is 18 v 19. 20 is plenty big enough,
But the 21 blacks do look good with Sepang. And the darker colour makes them look less bling.
20s much lighter (3:5kg a corner) and better ride though.
