Thanks for the feedback, albeit sorry to hear it! 6 months is very difficult for someone as impatient as me.

I've been looking for a while now and haven't seen a single car with ceramics in the classifieds. Has anyone got a car with them on?
paid a deposit on a RS6 14.11.15 build week 1 so anticipate end Jan/mid feb so about 3 months wait. standard paint/brakes.

is there any benefit to picking up a new car 1 march 2016 against 1 feb 2016? ie plate change.

Private plate will go on after a few mths. A month knowing it can be in my hot sticky hands earlier is strong.

Cheers, they were no budging up to 1k.
Managed to get full tank and boot liner, plus a branding pack as this was removed on the stock model.
Hopefully pick up end of this week early next so overall happy.

Picked up the car yesterday from Worcester and its not a bad car, with a decent drive back to London.

looks great - the nargo grey is really different in a nice way. I see its debadged as well. You sound a little flat over it?

Where did you get your Audi link? I presume that was from your dealer? I think mine is being built work week 4 so I was going to hang on until March to get my hands on it (not that a new reg will make any difference to me) but if it's going to be available much sooner I think I'll just go and pick it up hehe
I was told that it was likely to be end of Feb when I asked gently before ordering and thought the same about a March pickup/reg but with a week 1 and thought that early feb pick up - the dealer said they could hold it for me for a month but there is no way I could resist and think that my RS6 is just sitting at the dealer. Would sooner have it asap.

If it comes anytime Jan I will be really pleased. From the other posts it may be here early jan !! A lovely Birthday present if it does.

I am finally stopping the procastinating this week and ordering an RS6! I used CarWow to get an idea of potential discount (14% with finance from Audi Maidstone) and am taking that to my local dealer to get matched.

They are going to do the figures on the new RS6 Performance. £7k seems a hell of a lot for a remap, but they have suggested that the better retained value may mean that - in reality - it will cost barely anymore.

Has anyone ordered a Performance yet? I understand first deliveries are Feb, but i will wait for the new registration.
Carwow were good and my local dealer matched them. My carwow dealer would move a little with free roof bars ! but I had already done the deal locally.

Gone for standard RS6 as im paying enough as it is !!

What is the latest order period for an RS6?
ordered mine on the 16.11.15 - its now built and in Transit in Germany to the port. Could take from 1 week to 4 weeks I understand.

Hope it will be with me by mid Jan which will be 2 months but if its 16 Feb then will have taken 3 months.

collecting my new rs6 next week - Im not buying because of residues, im getting it because it will be fun for me. You never win on cars - Ive acceptaed that may get spanked when i sell may not - just enjoying it when I have it.

Also that car's a highly spec'd motor. Prices are now aligning based on the discounts available.

Hard to spend £60-65k on a used car even with some options when a brand new one can be bought with next to know lead time for £66k.
exactly - was better value to buy new then second hand and I get the Facelift car with all the stuff I want on it. Collecting tomorrow !!! yippeee 10 week wait.

Awesome car. Bedding in the brakes gently. Lovely sound, great presence on the road, very responsive when set up in dynamic, comfy in comfort !

Stop it. Just, please, stop it. I'm really happy with my S4, honestly and I do NOT want to change. Oh, no. (Repeats...)

(superlightr - that looks stunning. Have fun with it!)
its awful dont buy one. dont look on RS246.com forum - horrible cars there as well (fingers crossed behind back and nose growing longer)

Indeed, I follow your line of thinking gents. I guess my only hang up on buying new would be the first two years of depreciation! That's a huge hit!
the fun makes up for it.....

I was very close to ordering one of these but just lost my bottle with the amount of cars around and how short the lead times are for factory orders. I was going to get rid of our X5 and have the RS6 as the family car and something I could also really enjoy. Have now decided to keep the X5 and am picking up a 997 GTS tomorrow.

Great cars but I just couldn't stomach the depreciation....fair play to you all!
thats the same old chestnut of new v old v apples v oranges.
