So for some reason our car heating has decided to choose the coldest day in months to stop working!

Any ideas?

A little more info:

Ticking over on the drive, no heat at all.

Turn the heating up full whack, and if you press 'auto' it does not increase fan speed like it should do (to reach 28 degrees).

However, if I take it for a drive I get heat on the passenger side but not the driver side.

To get this I have to manually set the fan speed, 'auto' does nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

A6's are known for having an issue where the drivers side doesn't work properly.

Do a search on google, lots of info.

OK, so I now seem to have heat from both sides, but the 'auto' button doesn't do anything.

For example, when it's very cold, if I set it to 25 degrees on 'auto' the fans normally go on full whack and then gradually turn themselves off once up to temperature.

At the moment, they don't vary from the manual speed setting.

Any thoughts?
