Our A6 is with a local garage having some new shocks, springs, anti roll bars and a service carried out. They've reported the work has been done but the full beams aren't working. They were working perfectly before handing the car over, it's a 2010 A6 with bi xenons and high beam assist.

Anyone know what the issue could be? Some kind of light sensor broken/unplugged during the suspension work?

(We need the car to make a trip in a couple of days so hoping I can give a hint to the garage to speed things up a bit.)

do they know how bi xenon works.

Or are they looking at the daytime running light bulb and wondering why it doesnt light up when the full beam is pressed.

I'm assuming they do (but will check tomorrow!).

Nearly all cars the inner most bulb is the full beam one. With the bi xenon the lamp has the same appearance with a separate inner most bulb, This can confuse some customers who expect it to light up when the full beam used.

It's possible a garage who haven't seen the bi xenon light before could also be confused.

Definitely worth a ask before they start looking and suspention level sensors etc

So you guys were right, one of the older techs thought the "pass to flash" lights with the normal bulbs should also come with when the high beams were on so glad to get to the bottom of that.

There is still an issue with the LED outer cluster on the NS rear lights. Plugged VCDS in and no codes. I'm hoping it's corroded connections.

This is what it looks like now. VCDS not showing any errors, could it still be an earth issue? If the whole rear cluster is gone would it show on VCDS?

It looks to be the light unit that's faulty.

Audi want £200 or Euro car parts have the part for £76, any opinion on the quality?
