Mad Sheep Leasing have the S8 on 9+23 at £434 which includes VAT, so £362 excl VAT. Ironically, "Go Green" leasing, also have this 4litre V10 gas guzzler on their books at a similar price.
I thought they'd dropped the v10 now due to emissions?

"There's no indication of oil temperature, which is annoying. I read it can be switched on with VCDS code."

No idea if the S8 has the lap timer on the menu although if it does oil temp is there. VCDS can add it to the general menu yes.

Here's my review.
Thanks, very helpful.

I've been meaning to check: I've been advised over the phone by the dealer that the S8 has rear split seats although I'd appreciate a confirmation from someone who actually owns the car.

A mate and I were in Guildford Audi last weekend. They had matched an on-line lease deal and got an S8 demo in from Camberley. We took it for a test drive, signed the paperwork and my mate left a deposit. For some reason he failed the credit check (possibly because he wasn't on the electoral roll) They were fine to deal with though!

He is now trying to find a cheaper deal online!
Would you mind telling me who was the sales person he dealt with?

Great write up.

Defo one of those cars that without the great deals you'd be pushed to desire one. I've always loved the A8's as i think they're so under stated & their drive is often excellent, having one that could hang with a C7 RS6 90% of the time for less than half the outlay would be a huge draw for many in the market. The only factor i now dislike is how similar all the Audi saloons look as the A8 hides it's size so well, you need to look twice to tell it's an A8 & not an A4/6, but that's not always such a bad thing.

Had these deals been around when i chose my F10 M5 i'd have certainly been considering one, but sadly the only option for the same outlay at the time was an S6 so the M5 was a no brainer for me as got in when the crazy deals on those were available.

The S8+ will be very interesting & i'm looking forward to impressions on those from owners once they hit the streets.

Seats are not foldable. You can pay extra for the through-load facility to carry Ski or something similar.

You have 2 comfortable seats at the back or you can sit small person in the middle, where the armrest is.

So far I've seen only one 65 plate A8 on a road, no S8s. Saw a few older A8s but sometimes it's difficult to differentiate them from A6s.

Where are you seeing deals on the S8+?
Same place as always, just looking on contracthireandleasing.com. Its just a comparison site that has always had all the offers over the years.

The deals on the S8 Plus are just under £200pcm more than the deals on the S8. So over the term of a 3+23 contract, you're talking £5k extra, when its a £16k extra if buying for cash. Sounds fair deal to me.

That's a cracking deal on a £98k car. Looks as though the similar priced M6GC is a touch better value currently, but still a great deal.

These deals really do illustrate how ridiculous the full retail prices on these cars are though.

I didnt see any deals on the M6GC that come close; best I could see on 24mth contract was double the monthly cost.

Thanks. Just goes to show one should never trust a sales person over the phone.

The M6GC deals appear to be coming direct from (some) dealers & are in line with M5 deals but for a car that's £25k more expensive.

Bear in mind these deals are very fluid & changing day to day.
