I'm still being positive on the seats - its one of the differences for me.
If you go on the German VW configurator, the seats can be swapped out to cloth ordinary sports seats, or leather sport seats for no extra charge, so it could well be that is the same options in the UK. I'd be very positive that we'd get the leather option, but I want buckets. To be fair, I'd like to see the seats offered on the R also

I can't see the seats being standard. I think £2,200
I'm at a point now I'm going to transfer my deposit to a Clubsport lightweight or a 400.
I think the Clubsport is going to be a lot of money for the car with the right wheels and seats and all the creature comforts.
Thing that would worry me is that there are loads of rumours about a facelift Golf being just round the corner. Now that might still be 12 months away, but if you don't get your car for 6 months (which on the face of it sounds optimistic), will you be happy when the MK8 comes out 6 months after? I'd hold tight until the end of this month and if there is still no definitive information out I'd perhaps think I was wasting my time. I was trying to read around this yesterday - from what I can glean, it looks like a facelift coming this year after the summer shutdown, so any clubsports would have to be built before then, so a circa 12 week wait - order end of March, delivery end of June. I think the MK8 is coming in 17 or more likely 18, but the tech update inside for the facelift later this year looks good, TFT instruments a la Passat and TT look a possibility from the german news outletsWish said:

A clubsport lightweight? Do expand. If there was an R400/420 actually coming I would be interested, but its getting to the point of not being able to use all the potential, especially on the road, and that is what appeals to me about the clubsport. I might be tempted to go look at a Megane R26.R if this doesn't fall rightI'm at a point now I'm going to transfer my deposit to a Clubsport lightweight or a 400.

I've just been on the phone to my local dealer as I want a test drive in a GTI and a R just to see what they are like.
Concerned that a facelift maybe approaching. Anyway he said "why not go for a Club Sport?" He didn't elaborate but it seems at least to be on dealers radars.
Does anyone think that the CS will have high demand?
