One of the better cars I've owned! Well... Kind of owned. Goes back in July. Just need to find a place that will refurb one of the diamond cuts.

Audi S8 coming in June!

I have 3 months and 4000 miles of my 2 year 20k lease left.

Mines a Blue 3 Door DSG with winter pack and reversing camera and DRC

As a car I have loved it, Every time I drive it it puts a grin on my face, its practical can do 36+ MPG on the motorway and then be an absolute weapon afterwards.

On the flip side the negative attention I had in the first 12 months got me down.. We were burgled (another thread on that) looking for the keys and I also had it cloned which was a right pain.

but thats not the cars fault!!! .. people .. I HATE PEOPLE!!!

Anyway next I am getting my dream car of a B8 RS4...I know I wont have it long ... but Its on the bucket list.

That`s because after the attempted theft It didn't move for 3 months frown But then I realised you cant let these scrotes dictate your life. Its too short.

Im in the north west and I have a run up to whitby and trip to the Evo triangle planned over the next few months!

tis a bit, but then i tend to flip flop between large and small cars. Mainly it's driven by the cheap lease deals around (as drove me to get the Golf R) but also a need for more practicality (lol - it's got back doors), or at least that's how it's been sold to Mrs 2CV.

Anyway I've got 20 weeks, but only 500 miles left on the R... eek.

I've loved mine since I've had it. Just does everything so capably it's difficult to think what to switch to next. Unlike you saints above my average consumption has been consistently around 23mph - however my daily commute to work is a short 20min inner city drive. Currently undecided between keeping the car and buying it outright, switching to another all purpose weapon (RS4, M3, RCF) or to just get a boggo commuter mobile for the dailies and something a bit more hardcore like a caterham for the weekend!

Don't think I could cope without a daily that's a bit of fun even if there were a caterham parked in the garage. I considered m3s, z4ms etc as a replacement for golf but the potential running costs verses a new motor put me off. I know residuals will be a lot stronger than for the Megane, but knowing there are no bills lurking appeals and I can continue to finish my e36 m3 lab our of love. This will one day be swapped for a caterham , exige or Elise. The megane seems well set up for trackdays out of the box which also appeals.

I agree, as an enthusiast i've found it really difficult to slum it in a crap car for 5 days. The whole point of working hard is to enjoy your life; i've failed every time i've tried this - on paper - sensible approach.

My thoughts exactly. If I hadn't ordered the Megane, I'd seriously consider the Nissan 370Z deal.

Problem with two cars is you'll spend 90% of the time in the daily driver being jealous of everyone else who may only have one car, but it's better than your daily. Been there done that. The 10% is great fun, but it depends how much 'just driving around' driving you have the appetite to do.

I'm in a similar predicament.

I wish they would announce the R400, I'd put my name down in a heart beat frown

The only thing that's really stirring my interest, new, is the Focus RS & BMW M2. However, when you look at the price of the M2, you start looking at used GTR's & R8's and it all gets very silly very quickly hehe

Are you me? haha. You know you're in trouble when you open the autotrader app on your phone after a few days and you're wondering how it escalated to GTR's so quick laugh
