Apropos my topic on bluetooth streaming (didn't see this thread!); can you stream media via bluetooth? I'm getting a 1.4 Sport in a couple of weeks and want to know if I should get a bluetooth dongle or not.
Yep you can stream via Bluetooth so no need for a dongle.

Does Dynamic mode change anything other than throttle response and steering weight?
Suspension firmness as well, as far as I'm aware.
It only changes with adaptive dampers, the 1.4 Sport has passive dampers.

I test drove one of these back to back with the 2.0tdi 150 engines A4 yesterday. I have to say, the 1.4t engine is a peppy wee bugger. Struggles a bit at low revs but moves pretty briskly once you get going. Interior is lovely and the seats are comfy. I'm really considering pulling the trigger on one. One question though - how are you all finding the real life MPG? Is it anywhere close to Audi claimed figures?
I took the car on a 150 mile round trip, mainly motorway miles and was getting around 48mpg which I thought was pretty decent. The official combined mpg figure is 53.3 mpg so the real life economy doesn't seem too far off for me.

Excellent - good to know. Thanks.

It seems like I'm in the minority here but I've had a gutsful of mine after about 5000 miles.

The lack of low down power is a nightmare, especially when you live around loads of hills

The MMI/driver info keeps resetting itself every 300 miles & losing all memory. I just use android auto now

Averaging 36mpg despite plenty of motorway miles (maybe something to do with the system resetting all the time)

It feels a bit cramped

What were your experiences with lead times? My order date was 15/06/16

It's spent 2 weeks in Quality Control and has been stuck on left Ingolstadt now for 10 days. A little frustrating knowing its all built.

You are not alone. I'm also fed up with my 1.4 TSi Sport after 4K miles and for the same reasons. I have been caught out on hills with the lack of low down torque and tall gearing, have to change to 1st gear to keep moving. Had a similar engine, but the 138bhp version, in a Golf GT. Completely different driving experience, yes I know the Golf is 100kg lighter, but I never felt like it lacked power.

Also have an issue with the MMI forgetting settings and I'm using Apple Car Play. I am averaging 34mpg around town, but get 52mpg on long motorway trips, due to the very long gearing.

Very nice car on the motorways, quiet and comfortable, but can be a pain around town unless you adapt your driving style to cater for the tall gearing and small capacity turbo engine.

I think the 1.4 150ps engine is great in a golf/leon bu imagine it would be a little down on power for an A4.

My A4 has the 2.0 252ps engine so can't say I've experienced these problems but 50+ mpg would be nice!

I'd swap the mpg for more power any time. I only get 50+ on the motorway going to London and I think a lot of that is down to the amount of 50mph road work sections. The ones where no work is being done.

The 1.4 just doesn't suit the A4's character. I should have gone for one of the 2.0 litre petrols, but got sucked in by a very cheap lease deal.

Only 50 mpg! That's better than my diesel!

I think I've got a bit of a dog to be honest.

The MMI issues continue & when it happens it also seems to reset the service interval (in days remaining, not miles), plus messes with the clock & map settings.

Its also now starting to blow bulbs in the rear brake light, so seemingly has lots of electrical issues.

The parcel shelf also fails to return 50% of the time & I never notice until I'm ready to pull off & I can't see bugger all furious Typically is usually early morning & bloody freezing when it happens.

Oh plus there's nowhere to stick your drink in the rear laugh

All this I'm sure sounds trivial in isolation but when added up its really a bit crap for a £30k car.

I'll have to drop it in to the dealer at some point but I'm loathe to as the whole reason for going down the new car route was for reliability & to avoid downtime

11K up in ours now and all is well aside from the mother stoving in the offside rear bumper and wing in a pub car park.

I have to say there is something about this car's dimensions which make it much bigger than it seems when you are inside, the panels seem to stretch out much further than you'd believe.

Averaging 40mpg, not bad considering. Did take a while to adapt to the driving style but fully used to it now. Tend to just rev the bks of it till moving then settle into a cruise smile

Sorry to resurrect a slightly older thread.

I've just ordered an Avant Sport and have a couple of questions...

- Can anyone confirm that the sport comes with front sensors (as well as rears) as standard? The photos of the white avant earlier in this thread looks like a sport but doesn't seem to have front sensors (Thought they came standard as part of the park plus pack)?

- Also, the sport comes with the 10 speaker Audi sound option as standard, can anyone confirm where the subwoofer is located please? When looking at the sport model at the dealership, I looked in the boot in the spare tyre well (where I thought it would be) but couldn't see anything. Normally it sits on top of the spare wheel but on this the wheel was outside edge up (if that makes sense)

Thanks in advance...

Don't know about the b9 but on the b8s the sub is mounted either around one of the wheel arches or within part of the boot false floor that isn't easy to access

When I ordered my Audi A4 B9 Sport last year I ordered the parking system plus as an optional extra but when you go to the Audi configurator it says that this is included as standard with the description below. Worth checking with dealers or give Audi UK customer services a ring to double check.

"Acoustic and visual park assist system for the front and rear with MMI screen display showing a graphic representation of the distance to any obstacles detected outside and within the driving path. Measurement is by ultrasonic sensors concealed in the bumpers."

No front sensors on ours, 2016 sport.

Maybe they've changed the pack and thrown them in free now?
