Ive been getting 46 to 48 in comfort mode in a 1.4 with cruise set to just below 70. Got a few problems with the car though in the 2 weeks Ive had it. The passenger side lumber motor is broken. Just makes a terrible noise when you press any of the 4 buttons, the suspension back left clunks, looks like one of the yellow stop bumper things has broken free and the tyre pressure monitor wouldn't reset even after storing new pressure.

Going to the garage soon with it.

Not quite a sport (SE) but with the 1.4TFSI nonetheless. Looks like my turbo doesn't seem to want to well... turbo! Whilst it's certainly been a more interesting drive (having to stay through the gears a bit more when picking up speed, takes about 12 seconds 0-60) it's definitely apparent that there's none of the usual turbo boost.

Booked in to the Audi garage next week for them to take a look at it (alongside getting some sound deadening material put in the parcel shelf).

Anyone else experienced this? Car is at 2700 miles, most of those miles have been on dual carriageways and motorways but day-to-day it's used for short journeys.

I had a 2.0 TDI 190 for a couple of weeks recently and could only get 48mpg overall out from it. So goes to show diesel is a little pointless now if you guys are getting the same from the petrol!

I’m now managing to get 52mpg on the 1.4. This is shown on the Short Term Memory setting on the dash which I reset on almost every journey in an effort to beat my best. This is on a 35 mile M4 commute with a few miles and traffic lights either side. Travelling outside rush hour and just driving around lorries

Done you one better (literally!)

Grantham to the A1/A1(M) at Peterborough. Cruise on 70 when possible but lots of slowdown due to lorries and people not understanding the concept of overtaking.

As for the turbo issue I mentioned earlier, it doesn't seem to exist. Most likely case is there's a possibility I've just now gotten used to the engine and the turbo lag isn't something I notice anymore as I can easily change my driving to accommodate it.

Not really....I have a 2.0tdi 190, and have driven a few 1.4 loan A4s. MPG is still slightly better in the diesel, It feels like a much more powerful car, with effortless overtaking, and very relaxed cruising. I found the 1.4 a little under powered and not very refined.

True the performance is quite impressive from the 190. My normal drive is a TT with the 2.0 TFSI 230, but the 2.0 TDI actually felt a lot more punchy of the line. Doesn't need to be worked hard at all, great engine.

I agree, there should still be at least a 5mpg delta between them, or more depending on usage profile. But then again the price delta is also significant.

The 190 will certainly feel more lively courtesy of the extra 40ps but from a refinement POV I would pick the 1.4. I quite literally can't hear it. Lighter front end too, not that it matters terribly on those cars.

Is anyone still on this?

I've just bought a secondhand 3.0 A4 Quattro Allroad which I'm very pleased with so far.

The only thing I really can't work out at the moment is how to use Googlemaps from my iPhone 6 on the navigation system. The guy who sold it to me can use his Android Samsung on it, but although I can make phone calls with my iPhone, I can't seem to connect Googlemaps. Both the car and the phone are connected to Bluetooth OK. It doesn't seem to have any other navigation system.

Can anyone help?
