The Amazing PH Passat Alltrack Thread
Discussion
As I posted in the best lease thread, I had this letter today - I have not see the letter that they referred to about my options though. What are they? Ian it send it back, extend for 3 months at existing rate, extend for longer at new rate or buy it?
Also, I had not realised that you can buy the car yourself - is this new VWFS policy?

I've just terminated 1 month early on my Alltrack. They said I can contact BCA on Monday to arrange inspection and collection. How quick can I get them to take it? It's showing service due in 14days so I'm in a race against the clock!
I extended my lease by 1 month but the lady advised me to allow between 2 and 3 weeks for the inspection. My car was inspected by BCA today - was pretty painless. I phoned up VWFS last week, and told them I was in a hurry to get it back - they gave me a number for BCA to call 24 hours later, and they organised the inspection and collection.
The inspection was today, pickup is Wednesday.
The inspection guy texted me yesterday afternoon to say he planned to arrive today at 3.30pm - he was half an hour late and very apologetic, even though I told him not to worry.
I was charged for two alloys at £36 each and £21 for a very thin but few inch long scratch on a front bumper corner edge - I hadn't even noticed it. He printed out the invoice from a printer in the boot of his car and I signed his tablet.
13 days from the first service, and the original tyres which I switched front to back some time last year had way more than the required 1.6mm left.
I have only done about 1000 miles over the 10k total of the lease.
All in all, a very cheap and hassle free 2 years of motoring for not a lot of money - the only time it saw the inside of a VW dealership was when it complained of being low on coolant and VW Stockport topped it up as I waited without me booking an appointment. I think I may have put one litre of oil in too - my memory is shocking. Oh and I think I only needed one fill-up of bluepiss.
I am not going to miss it, but as my first time leasing, I would highly recommend the experience.

Mine is down to 11 days. Swapping the tyres was definitely worth it - we have definitely rinsed this deal.
I am waiting for collection today - the inspection guy was great, he txted me the day before and gave me an approximate time.
Nothing from the collection driver which is frustrating as I need to go out and pick up my new car some time today.
Did you get anything from the collection driver before he turned up?

My inspector said to ring the auction house (10 miles from my home) and arrange to drop it off at my convenience. So i just dropped it in last night after work.I am waiting for collection today - the inspection guy was great, he txted me the day before and gave me an approximate time.

I wish I'd known this - there is an auction centre in Manchester I could have dropped it off and easily got into work.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
